Experience Kissimmee, the official tourism authority for Osceola County, Florida, promotes Central Florida's diverse tourism experiences to the world. Now they are promoting the launch of Film Kissimmee, the official film commission for Osceola County.
Film Kissimmee will serve as a central resource for production companies, location managers and digital content creators seeking filming opportunities in Central Florida. The initiative connects industry professionals with a wide range of filming locations, local expertise and production resources to help bring stories to life in Osceola County.
Nick Floyd, Experience Kissimmee's Manager of Video Production and the new Director of the Kissimmee Film Commission, will lead Film Kissimmee and oversee efforts to position Osceola County as a premier destination for film, television and commercial productions.
"Just as Osceola County is an excellent place to spend your vacation, we truly believe it is a diverse location for film and television production. And Film Kissimmee is us exploring that intersection between the two," said Floyd. "I'm beyond excited to kick off this new initiative, not just as an opportunity to showcase so many of our incredible partners, but to welcome fresh perspectives on our destination from filmmakers and producers."
Available throughout Osceola County, filmmakers can access landscapes and settings that capture many sides of Florida, including natural waterways, cypress-lined wetlands, historic downtown streets, ranchlands, hospitality properties and modern innovation centers. Adding to this, Kissimmee's expansive collection of vacation homes, offering filmmakers unique and production-ready settings ranging from luxurious estates and themed properties to contemporary residences and resort-style retreats, each providing distinctive backdrops for film, television and commercial productions.
Film Kissimmee plans to continue expanding its location database, developing educational resources for local partners and coordinating familiarization tours for producers and location managers across the United States. These tours will provide industry professionals with firsthand access to Osceola County's filming assets while fostering relationships with local businesses and property owners.
