Projected Shooting Dates: 2-3 days in Late March or Early April (TBD)
Submission Deadline: Rolling auditions for rest of December
Shooting Location: Florida, most likely Orlando Area
Logline: On the last day of summer, a grieving camp counselor drafts a letter to her long lost grandma while an independent fisherwoman determines to finish her bucket list.
This is an unpaid project - copy and credit will be given to all involved. This is a non-union production.
Character Breakdowns:
SOPHIE - female, 16-17 yrs (lead)
A silly, awkward, but earnest teenage girl – Sophie must figure out how to contact the grandmother who long ago gave her recently deceased mother up for adoption.
DANI MARY - female, 60-70s (lead)
Dani Mary is a lonely, grumpy, but likeable fisherwoman who needs to catch one last fish on her summer bucket list.
PIM - male, 60-70s (supporting)
Pim is the friendly, flirty bait stand owner who is set on helping Dani Mary catch her final fish.
MRS. HELEN - female, 40s-50s (supporting)
Sophie’s stern, but caring camp superior.
ANNIE - female, 8-10 yrs (supporting)
Sophie’s talkative, excited little camper who is sad that summer is over.
