State Film Commish To Speak on Wednesday
(released 2/7/2006)

The next session of our state legislature convenes next month and it's time to start the rally cry.

Our newly appointed Florida State Film Commissioner Paul Sirmons will be speaking at an FMPTA meeting in Jacksonville on Wednesday evening to get it started. Sirmons will discuss the current legislative battle to increase the state's Entertainment Industry Financial Incentive, as well as his plans to effectively network and advance the production programs within Florida's schools.

There will be time to talk and network with other industry pros starting at 6pm. The evening's program begins at 7:30pm. The meeting is being held at WJCT Studio A at 100 Festival Park Avenue (next to Metropolitan Park). Admission is free to members of FMPTA, first timers, and members of the media. $10 for all others.
