28th Sarasota Film Festival runs April 10-19

Passes are now available for the 28th Annual Sarasota Film Festival. The festival will be April 10-19, 2026. The In-Person Box Office is now open daily 12-6pm at 332 Cocoanut Ave, in Sarasota.

Opening the festival is Deep Water which will include a Q&A with Director Renny Harlin and Producer Gene Simmons.

The 2026 lineup includes a curated selection of narrative features, documentaries, short films, and student works. Environmental films, intimate character studies from first-time directors, and documentaries that tackle pressing social issues are some of what to expect from this year's programmed festival.

Over 200 films ranging in genres and themes, independent films, international satires and documentaries exploring local and global issues are scheduled. Diversity, emerging talent and environmental storytelling are commitments the festival likes to maintain.
