SNL Announces New Cast Including Orlando Native

Saturday Night Live announced season 51's first three weeks of hosts. The show created by Lorne Micheals originally aired with George Carlin as host October 11, 1975 on NBC. As of the end of Season 50 in 2025, SNL has aired 988 episodes since its debut in 1975.

The show uses sketch comedy to parody popular culture and politics and is performed by a cast of repertory and new cast members each season. Each episode is hosted by a celebrity guest and is broadcast live with a studio audience. The broadcast is from Studio 8H at NBC's headquarters in the Comcast Building at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York.

Season 50 was nominated for several Emmys and won Emmys.  The show won Creative Arts Emmy Awards for Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special, Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Program (Segment), Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Variety Series or Special, Outstanding Hairstyling For A Variety, Non Fiction or Reality Program, Outstanding Makeup For A Variety, Non Fiction or Reality Program, Outstanding Directing for A Variety Special and Outstanding Writing For a Variety Special. The SNL 50: Anniversary Special won an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live).

Season 51 Episode 1 is set to premiere October 4, 2025 on NBC.  Here is a list of the first three episodes' hosts announced on September 18, 2025 on the SNL Twitter account:

Episode 1 - October 4 - Bad Bunny with musical guest Doja Cat
Episode 2 - October 11 - Amy Poehler with musical guest Role Model
Episode 3 - October 18 - Sabrina Carpenter and Musical guest also Sabrina Carpenter

Season  51 welcomes new cast members Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, and Veronika  Slowikowska. Kam Patterson is an Orlando native.
