The Global Peace Film Festival has been held in Orlando, Florida since 2003. Centered around The International Day of Peace AKA "Peace Day" on September 21st, the festival has been used to promote peace and environmentalism through the medium of film. This year, the festival runs from September 18-23, 2023.
Nina Streich is the Founder and current Festival Director. Streich has curated documentary, narrative and short films around the theme of peace and the environment. The festival features panel discussions with filmmakers, special guests and local activists who educate attendees on the power of film in promoting peace and well being.
