Orlando, Miami Top 10 Cities for Indie Film

MovieMaker Magazine recently published their "Best Of" issue which is available in stores now and was also distributed at Sundance. Of particular interest to Florida Filmmakers is the '2005 Top 10 Cities For Moviemakers' list. This is their fifth annual countdown of the best cities for indie filmmakers to live and make their movies.
The editors were trying to figure out which cities gave the best production benefits. The number one city was New York, but more importantly, two cities in Florida made their list. Miami at number 8 and Orlando at number 10. Orlando is the nation's third busiest production center, but they found it was lacking one key ingredient... financing.
Last year, Orlando was ranked number 5 and this is the first year Miami has made their list.
