The Daytona Beach Browncoats are sponsoring a "Can't Stop the Serenity" charity screening of the sci-fi movie Serenity (Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, director Joss Whedon). The movie screening is June 27th at the Ocean Walk Theaters 10 in Daytona Beach. Doors open at 12pm (noon) and the film starts at 1pm. The theater is located at 250 North Atlantic Avenue.

After the screening, stick around for costume contests, raffle drawings, and merchandise for sale. Proceeds go to the world wide charity organization, Equality Now. Movie tickets for this special event are $13.00 at the door. Validated parking available.

The "Can't Stop the Serenity" movie screenings benefiting Equality Now take place world wide and have been happening annually since 2006. In the past, these charity screenings have raised over a quarter of a million dollars to support and aid mistreated women and girls through Equality Now.
