Sunday, November 6, 2022 is the next Orlando Film Slam. FilmSlam has been a Central Florida community of filmmakers of all levels furthering the area's film scene with production exposure. Each screening is 60 plus minutes in length and will feature cast and crew Q and A sessions.
You as an audience member are encouraged to give the filmmakers feedback and ask them questions.
Audience members vote on their favorite films and each month's winner is guaranteed a screening at next year's Central Florida Film Festival. The top 3 films for September were #3 The Heist, #2 Sophie in Furbyland, and the winner was Bird's Eye View.
FilmSlam began as a project of University of Central Florida's Downtown Media Arts Center (DMAC) in 2005. When DMAC closed in 2006, the venue changed to Enzian Theater where they held screenings until October 2019. All new seasons of FilmSlam are held inside the SunTrust Theater within the Orlando Museum of Art.
