Oviedo Chickens wins Film Slam

The winner for July's Film Slam was Oviedo Chickens by Kevin Provost. The short can be seen on Current.
Second place went to The Monster Under My Bed by Todd Thompson and third place was February Stars by Sean Heyboer.
Film Slam Host John Theisen noted at the event that the attendance record wasn't broken, but there were 115 people.
On a personal note, I usually find that I would just as soon watch a movie on a DVD on my computer unless it has a lot of special effects. I watched Oviedo Chickens online before the Film Slam and I have to say that I enjoyed it more on the big screen. Yes, even a short format doc.
