Gasparilla International Film Festival will be June 10-13, 2021. The festival is in-person and is also offering a virtual festival as well. This will be the 14th year of the GIFF that started in 2007. The weekend festival will take place at the Tampa Theatre on June 10, AMC Westshore on June 11-12, and both locations on June 13. The opening night film will be Lady of the Manor, a story "about an aimless ne'er-do-well who becomes a tour guide in a historic estate and winds up befriending the manor's resident ghost." Principal photography began January 2, 2020 in Tampa. Filming also took place in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is a locally produced story to kick off the festival, directed by Christian Long and Justin Long who also wrote the film. Melanie Lynskey, Judy Greer, and Justin Long star in the film.
Doors at the Tampa Theatre for the film will be at 7p.m. with a Q and A following the screening where you are encouraged to prepare and ask questions.
